APPLICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE HAVE NOW CLOSED!
A huge thank you to everyone who applied. We’ll be in touch if we’d like to take your application further; otherwise, please keep an eye on our socials for future Kip opportunities. Due to the brilliant (and enormous response!), we’re sadly unable to offer individual feedback.
We help people discover Britain’s most extraordinary places to stay. From architect-designed cabins and remote treehouses to beautifully restored farmhouses and coastal hideaways, every place in our collection has been chosen because we genuinely believe it’s somewhere special.
We’re looking for a Bookings Consultant to become the friendly, knowledgeable voice of Kip.
You’ll spend your days helping guests find the right hideaway, answering questions, managing bookings, supporting our owners and making sure every interaction feels personal, thoughtful and effortless. It’s part customer service, part sales and part travel advice.
This is ideal for someone with experience in hospitality, travel, retail or customer service.

Before you apply…
Please only apply if you’re already based in or around Bristol (or relocating here imminently).
We meet together in Bristol regularly, but this isn’t an office-based role. Most of the time you’ll be working independently from home, so we want someone who enjoys managing their own workload, learns quickly, is self-motivated and doesn’t need constant supervision.

What you’ll be doing:
- Managing bookings from enquiry through to confirmation.
- Learning the Kip collection inside out so you can make thoughtful, tailored recommendations by phone and email.
- Supporting owners with guest enquiries and booking questions.
- Resolving problems calmly, confidently and with empathy.
- Spotting opportunities to improve the guest experience and convert enquiries into bookings.
- Using new technology to work more efficiently and continually improve how we do things.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys talking to people and is confident picking up the phone.
- Thinks quickly and enjoys working at pace.
- Is highly organised and exceptionally detail-oriented.
- Has strong numeracy skills and feels comfortable working with figures, pricing and booking data.
- Is naturally proactive and enjoys finding solutions rather than waiting to be asked.
- Learns new technology quickly and is excited by the opportunities it brings.
- Is confident using social media and understands the importance of brand tone and customer experience.
- Writes beautifully and communicates warmly and professionally.
- Enjoys working independently and taking ownership of their work.
- Has a genuine interest in travel, design, architecture or interiors.
- Wants a 4-day a week role (or 32 hours spread over 5 days)

Ideally you’ll have:
- A degree or equivalent experience.
- Some experience in hospitality, travel, retail, customer service or sales.
- Experience using booking or CRM systems would be an advantage, but this isn’t essential.

Why you’ll love working at Kip:
- Be part of a small, ambitious, values-driven team.
- Real responsibility and room to grow.
- Work flexibly and independently, with supportive collaboration.
- Help shape the future of sustainable, design-led UK travel.
- Make a meaningful impact on a growing brand.
- Enjoy creative freedom and genuine work-life balance.

Perks + benefits:
- Mostly remote working, with 2-4 in-person days each month.
- Annual team trip days – always inspiring, always beautiful.
- 25 days holiday.
- Friendly, mission-led culture.
- A chance to shape something meaningful as it grows.

If the answers above work for you and you meet the criteria in the job advert, we’d love to receive your application.
Please make sure you’ve included everything requested in the advert – incomplete applications won’t be considered.
Heads up: we generally receive a lot of applications for roles, so only successful candidates will be contacted.
Thank you, and good luck!

Preferably. Hands-on experience with a booking management system, PMS or channel manager, plus an understanding of iCal connections, is a huge bonus. We use SuperControl, so experience with this would be a big advantage too, but experience with another comparable system is absolutely fine.l
Yes. We’re looking for someone with solid customer-facing experience who is confident dealing with different types of people and adapting their approach accordingly. This includes handling difficult conversations calmly and balancing excellent guest care with the commercial needs of the business.

As we’re a very small team, unfortunately we won’t be able to respond individually to every applicant. If we’d like to invite you to the practical task, we’ll be in touch.
