Easy does it in Devon.

Kip photographer Holly Farrier recently spent a weekend in North Devon shooting the gorgeous Author’s Escape for a coffee-table book she’s producing. She was as captivated by the property as we are, loving its seclusion yet proximity to Croyde Bay, and its extraordinary history. Here are her favourite memories of the weekend and some of her exclusive snaps.

“Wandering down to the author’s old writing cabin feels like stepping back in time or onto a film set. All of his belongings have been perfectly preserved and the place has a wonderfully nostalgic feel.”

“The main cabin is a complete contrast, with huge glass windows looking out to an extraordinary view of the countryside.”

“I adored the architectural structure, with its double pitched roof.”

“And after a late-afternoon surf, settling down on the sofa in front of the log-burning fire to watch a film on the pull-down projector screen was the perfect end to the day.”
