There’s a moment – usually somewhere between the third unanswered email and the fifth thing on your to-do list – where you realise you haven’t had a minute to yourself in days.
Not proper time.
Time without noise. Without expectations. Without that low-level hum of should be doing something else.
It’s something I’ve become much more aware of over the years – how easy it is to fill every gap, and how rarely we actually stop.
At Kip, we talk a lot about escape. But for me, it’s never really been about going far, or doing something big.
It’s the quieter kind that stays with you. The shift that happens when you arrive somewhere and feel your shoulders drop. When time stretches out again. When nothing is required of you.
I think that’s why I’ve come to value solo trips more and more. Not as an indulgence, but as a way of resetting. A way of making a bit of space again.

Finding a different rhythm at Kudhva.
I felt that really clearly when I stayed at Kudhva, a totally unique cluster of cabins and treehouses on the cliffs just outside Tintagel, Cornwall.
There’s something about that place – the cabins sitting lightly in the landscape, the constant sound of the sea, the openness of it all – that makes it very easy to slow down. I found myself falling into a completely different rhythm without really trying.
Waking up slowly. Making coffee and actually sitting down to drink it. Spending time outside with no plan. Letting the day unfold rather than filling it.
And it was there that small rituals started to come back in. I’d brought Ancient + Brave collagen and supplements with me – something I’d already been using at home – and it just fits really naturally into those quieter moments. A collagen in my morning coffee. A pause before the day really began.
Not a big wellness reset. Just something consistent, and grounding.
That’s always been the appeal for me. Not doing more – just doing things with a bit more intention.

Why we’ve partnered with Ancient + Brave this month.
When we think about partnerships at Kip, it always comes back to alignment.
Does it feel genuine? Does it reflect how we actually live and travel?
That’s what drew me to Ancient + Brave in the first place. It’s a female-founded brand, built around the idea of simple daily rituals – using botanicals, nootropics and functional ingredients to support how you feel, in a way that’s easy to maintain.
They’re also one of the highest scoring B Corp wellness brands globally, which matters to us too. Because it’s not just about the end product – it’s about how it’s made, and the impact it has. Especially in a space like wellness, where it’s easy to get caught up in the surface of things.

For Kip Insiders
To celebrate our partnership with Ancient + Brave, we’ve put together something for Kip Insiders in April:
