Weekend diaries: 48h at Glebe Cabins.

Weekend diaries | Kitchen at Glebe Cabins

48 hours, two ruthless Monopoly-playing 9-year-olds, a dog, and a cabin that stole the show…

I’m an off-grid cabin girl forever, but this place hits that perfect in-between – you still get the escape, but with incredible food, being looked after, everything just…easy. When you’re slightly run down and juggling work / life / everything, that’s no small thing.

Weekend diaries | Reading at Glebe Cabins

We arrived to sunshine and a walk through bluebell woods that instantly transported us, it’s a truly stunning corner of Devon.

The cabin is gorgeous – colour, art, texture, the comfiest bed, rain pattering on the cedar roof. We read, took long baths, and I lost Monopoly more times than I care to admit!

Dinner is 100m away. Hugo, one of the owners, cooks – and it’s properly good. The kind you’re still thinking about the next morning. I didn’t cook once in two days.

Running Kip and being a mum, I’m always questioning the balance. Here it all just blurred together – work, life, the girls. A bit messy, but also kind of perfect.

What I do know: being looked after, eating something you didn’t cook, everything feeling a bit softer – pretty special. I’m very into it.
