“After years of living in London, we found ourselves craving more space, more fresh air and more time outdoors. I grew up in Buckinghamshire and, when we started spending more time back in the Chilterns, I realised that all the things I’d once taken for granted – the open skies, the footpaths, the pub gardens and the slower pace of life – were actually pretty special. With backgrounds in construction, property and design, we set out to create somewhere immersed in nature but with all the comforts and considered design of a boutique hotel. Every decision, from the outdoor baths to the view from the bed, was guided by a simple idea: if we were escaping here for the weekend, what would make us never want to leave? You may not love
Each cabin is totally private but not isolated. A countryside setting so you may see wildlife/bugs/flies, and this is agricultural land so you’ll see machinery and horses grazing. Sorry, no pets.
Surrounds.
- Walk through the alpaca fields to Peterley Manor Farm, where you’ll find a brilliant farm shop, plant nursery and The Barn Kitchen café for leisurely breakfasts and lunches.
- Catch the sunset from Coombe Hill, one of the Chilterns’ most spectacular viewpoints, with sweeping views across the surrounding countryside.
- Jess and Jamie love the barn restaurant at nearby Oxmoor Farm — imaginative brunches, Flock Fridays, pie & pinot night, and regular wild feast events.
- Pull on walking boots and head out along the South Bucks Way, a long-distance trail that winds through woodland, rolling hills and postcard-worthy villages.
- Walk to The Full Moon for a pint in the garden or a long Sunday lunch by the fire.
- Explore Wendover Woods, a favourite local spot for woodland walks, trail runs and seasonal colour, particularly when the leaves turn copper in autumn.
- Further afield, spend an afternoon wandering the cobbled streets of Old Amersham or head to Marlow for its 19thC suspension bridge and vibrant food scene, including Michelin-starred The Hand & Flowers
- Do very little. Pick up pastries from the local farm shop and spend the morning moving between the sofa and your outdoor bath with a good book. Then book an afternoon slot in the sauna or a spa treatment (from early July), and chill some wine for sundowners around your firepit.

- Walk to a pub (10 mins) and farm shop (20 mins), or drive to various shops, pubs and restaurants (5-15 mins)
- Booking conditions: min 2 nights during the week, 3 nights at weekends, checking in on Mon, Wed or Fri only
- Remember to pack: wellies/walking boots, swimsuits for the sauna

A bottle of rose/white/red wine or a non-alcoholic drink, plus crisps, hummus & olives.
Unfortunately not, this is an adults-only peaceful retreat.
As this is an intentially peaceful place, regrettably pets are not allowed.
Each has a log burner. Rise also has underfloor heating, while Dusk and Ember have wall-mounted radiators.
10-20m apart within a 2-acre paddock, but each is enclosed in a bamboo-fence garden, ensuring complete privacy.

- Garden BBQ box with halloumi & vegetable skewers and various salads (£30 for 2 people)

One session is included; additional ones can be purchased.
