Great-value cabins for couples or solo travellers seeking peace, seclusion & nature. Hiking trails and great pubs nearby (each sleeps 2)
Space & setting.
*Brand new*
In the rugged expanse of the Staffordshire Peaks, these cool cabins offer a simple yet stylish nature escape. Amidst woodland laced with walking, running and cycling trails, and with epic views over beautiful parkland, they feel gloriously quiet and hidden, a real insider’s secret. But you’re never too far from a fantastic country pub (including the best one in Staffordshire, a walk away).
Though off-grid, you definitely won’t be roughing it. Mindfully-designed interiors echo uncluttered Scandi style, allowing the views to take centre stage through huge windows (best enjoyed from the kingsized bed with a morning cuppa). Later, flick through an intriguing selection of books to the nostalgic soundtrack of old-school cassettes, and watch wildlife through binoculars. If you’re anything like us, you’ll just want to stay put to soak up the stillness. There’s no TV or WiFi; just the soft rustle of trees and quiet countryside sounds, meaning you can really unplug, switch off and get the R&R you came here for. Mizar even has an outdoor tub, our favourite indulgence.
Getting here: drive, or train to Stone, then taxi (15 mins)

It all started a few years ago. Harry and George had always had a keen interest in building and constructing things — initially, it was treehouses, speakers and furniture, then they built their first cabin on Harry’s family farm. For a small structure, it was a little more complex than you might think. With composting loos, solar power, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom all integrated into a small space, the process threw up all sorts of challenges. Though it was stressful, they were delighted to create such a unique holiday experience with such a low carbon impact, and went on to create more. Their aim is to unlock amazing places for holiday makers all over the UK. This is their 4th site.
