“Heronmere has been part of our family for over 30 years, and during that time it has been so much more than just a house. It has been a much-loved family home, a place for staff to live, and a space filled with wonderful people. In keeping with Yeo Valley’s vibe, Heronmere has had a colourful and quirky makeover and now opens its doors to share with all.” Sarah, Owner
She loves
“The views, the views & the views! It is also right next door to our pub where you can get 10% off during your stay. If the Yeo Valley Organic Gardens are open during your stay, you’ll have free access to them, too.“
We love
The rattan headboards and glorious wallpapers.

You’ll need a car. No check ins on Saturday or Sunday. Only 1 bedroom can be twinned.
Sustainability.
The BBQ uses coal from Yeo Valley’s biochar. Full recycling is in place.
Surrounds.
- Beautiful walks and cycle rides lead out from the front door, including the 6-mile Yeo Valley Way loop.
- Or simply stroll around Blagdon Lake then back up the hill for lunch at The Seymour Arms.
- You’ll love the peaceful Yeo Organic Garden, a 6-acre patchwork of seasonal and edible plantings. The Crabapple tree-lined Avenue is particularly lovely in May when the blossom is out, and the cafe serves the best cakes. Heronmere guests get free entry.
- Climbers can scale Burrington Coombe (2 miles) and Cheddar Gorge (7 miles). You can abseil at Cheddar, too.
- Wookey Hole caves will enchant the kids. Then pick up veg from Blagdon’s Community Farm and meat from The Story Butchers and whip them up a BBQ back at the house as they play table tennis.
- Bristol is an easy day trip. Stroll around the historic waterfront, explore foodie independents, visit Park Street’s boutiques and seek out Banksy murals; this is his hometown. (And Kip’s, as it goes).
