“After watching an episode about Purbeck on National Trust Unlocked, we took a road trip and fell in love with it here. Coming from a background in construction and visual design, we were looking for a property to restore and found this cottage needing to be stripped back to its original bones. We spent every weekend for 8 months working on it, alongside local trade people, to curate something beautiful yet sympathetic to the history of the cottage.” Owner, Mark
They love
“The proximity to some of the best beaches in the UK, coastal walks and rolling countryside.”
We love
The huge hearth framed by exposed stonework and beams; the antique armchairs, mirrors and ceramics sourced from Dorchester and Bridport; and the lovely dining room, that fills with morning sunshine.
