“My grandfather purchased the farm in 1937, making us 3rd generation farmers here. He used to employ a large number of farm workers who lived in these cottages, which we have now painstakingly renovated for guests. Times have changed and so must our farm. After 15 years of living in Asia and working in the corporate world it’s a lovely change of pace but one that keeps us busier than ever. We are determined to ensure that the farm can continue on for generations to come so we are always working or dreaming up new projects.” Owner, Jane
She loves
“The spectacular views over the fields to the Firth of Forth.”
We love
The Dairy – such a romantic space, with such gorgeous rustic-luxe style.

Sustainability.
Air-source heat pumps, and the owner has planted over 5,000 trees to offset the carbon footprint of having guests.
Surrounds.
- Walk along the Fife Coastal Path, where clifftop trails, hidden coves and wide sandy beaches await.
- Browse Burntisland’s brilliant independent food shops, stocking everything from fresh fish and local meat to seasonal fruit and Scottish cheeses. Whip up a feast and eat in your garden.
- Edinburgh is 40 minutes away – home to the beautiful castle, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile. We also love St Mary’s Close, an underground warren of 17thC streets, once stricken by the plague. For ease, you can leave your car at Kirkcaldy train station and train back and forth.
- Discover lovely East Neuk fishing villages – colourful Crail through to postcard-pretty Anstruther, each packed with little galleries and harbourside charm.
- Spend the day in St Andrews, wandering medieval streets and lingering over a long lunch by the sea. Golfers can tackle the famous Old Course.
- Admire Banchory’s friendly Highland cows (Coos) and spot deer, hares and pheasants roaming the surrounding fields.
- Head to Silver Sands Beach at Aberdour, one of Fife’s loveliest beaches, with golden sand, rock pools and calm waters for a swim on warmer days.
- Follow quieter country lanes and woodland walks straight from the farm, with sweeping views over the Firth of Forth.
