“We’ve been working to create this beautiful organic farm for 3 generations. When travelling the world, I was so inspired by all of the incredible properties I encountered in nature that when I returned home I worked with a natural building company for 5 years before setting up this glamping site with my brother on the family farm.” Owner Paul
He loves
“The birdsong is fabulous, especially in spring.”

Deservedly popular – plan well ahead, especially for a weekend stay. Min 2 nights. No kids or pets – it’s all about the peace.
Sustainability.
The farm generates 50kw of its electricity through solar PV, and has its own spring water borehole that supplies the properties. The lodge itself is an eco builds, and clad in locally milled cedar and larch.
Surrounds.
- Woodland and countryside walks are all around.
- This area is a hotspot for brilliant restaurants: 20 mins’ walk away is the superb Lord Poullett Arms, all beamed ceilings and log fires (and an amazing dark chocolate truffle with hazelnut and sea salt ice cream). Or taxi to F.east in Ilminster (fantastic veggie food) and The Trading Post (a quirky railway carriage restaurant).
- ‘Gateway to the Jurassic Coast’, Bridport is home to vintage shops, tiny independent galleries and a Saturday farmers’ and artists’ market.
- Go for brunch at Hive Café at Burton Bradstock then walk along the beautiful beach and coastal path round to West Bay, with its golden cliffs, the setting for Broadchurch.
- We love Lyme Regis, a curve of pastel Georgian houses and the famous Cobb Harbour. Get a Baboo gelato while you’re here, locally made, their Flu Buster sorbet is a thing of beauty – lemon and orange juice, honey, ginger and cayenne.
- The owner recommends a day trip to the idyllic village of Abbotsbury with its ruined Abbey, Tithe barn and subtropical gardens.
