“The combination of a tumbledown cottage and an old grass tennis court hidden within our secluded woodland gave us the opportunity to create something we’d long imagined. The cabin grew out of my work designing houses, cabins and furniture for creative clients, and has become the culmination of everything I’ve learnt; a true labour of love. Everything I make is shaped by a deep respect for carefully sourced materials and traditional making skills, and that philosophy runs through every inch of the cabin. We live nearby, but it sits quietly in its own woodland clearing, surrounded by this truly special, timeless landscape.” Owners, Jeremy and Fiona
They love
“The utter tranquility of the secluded, unspoilt setting, and the calmness instilled by the gentle movement of shadows cast onto the walls and floors by sunlight shining through the trees. The Japanese call this ‘Komorebi’.”
We love
“The beautiful, oak-clad bathtub. Bring a good book for a long soak.”
