“We’re originally from the local area, and after living away in London and Berlin we decided to renovate a property here in our home country. We had done up a few places in London previously but wanted a bigger challenge. After renovating our own house, we wanted to create a unique luxury retreat to share with others, a comfortable place with beautiful interiors where guests could come to stay year-round. And so, this cabin was born!” Owners, Amy and Bryn
They love
“Sitting on the balcony in the mornings and listening to birdsong.”
We love
The handmade details – the cushions were made by a friend of the owners, and vases are by London designers.

Sustainability.
Water is from a bore hole. All the timber materials were sourced and milled within 5 miles of the property. Plans are in place to have solar power.
Surrounds.

- Spend a day walking, cycling or boating around Lake Vyrnwy on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Wander down winding forest trails through oak woodlands to quiet inlets, then kick your shoes off for a toes-in-the-sand picnic along the shore (20 mins’ drive).

- Find peace, presence and a sense of awe at Pistyll Rhaeadr, Britain’s highest single drop waterfall, tucked away in the Berwyn Mountains. Climb the footpath to the top of the falls, then stop for lunch at the idyllic 18thC tearoom down below (30 mins’ drive).
- Take in the sweeping scenery of the Dee Valley from a canal boat crossing on the Pontcycyllte Aquaduct, and take a tour of the impressive World Heritage Site (40 mins’ drive).
